Ruth Benny
Founder & Head Girl
The founder of Top Schools, Ruth has over 26 years’ experience in the education system in Hong Kong. She has the advantage of many years in different areas of education – as a teacher, a teacher-trainer, a parent and now consultant.
Ruth writes and speaks about private and international schools for parents, corporations and other groups. She is a frequent contributor to local media including the SCMP, Playtimes and Sassy Mama and generally regarded as the go-to expert on this topic.
Originally from the UK, Ruth has been in Hong Kong for over 26 years and is the mother of two children; both now at boarding school in the UK.

Ryan Rudisaile
General Manager
Ryan studied for a BA in Elementary Education in the USA and has been working in various international schools across Asia for over 8 years. Ryan's background as a digital arts teacher eventually led him to work in marketing/admissions roles within the education sector.
He joined Top Schools in 2021 and brings a wealth of marketing knowledge, creative skills and a passion for digital art.
Born and raised in Colorado, USA, he is a proud father of two young boys. He enjoys spending time with his family and traveling.


Frances Horgan
Senior Consultant
Having started in Public Relations in London, Frances' career changed direction when she trained to be a Montessori Teacher in 2004.
Frances went on to obtain a BA (Hons) in Early Childhood Studies and a postgraduate qualification in Early Years, plus qualifying as a Forest School Leader in 2019.
Frances has worked in some of the UK’s leading Montessori and nursery schools including Mouse House in Clapham and Young England Kindergarten in Pimlico. More recently, she set up and ran her own Forest School Nursery.
Frances moved to Hong Kong with her husband and two children in 2021.

Marianne Moore
Senior Consultant, UK
Marianne graduated from Monash University in Melbourne with a Bachelor of Commerce Degree and enjoyed a career trading Financial Derivatives in Hong Kong and London before starting her own family. She has extensive experience applying for schools, liaising with school admissions, preparing students for examinations and interviews and has an excellent knowledge of most of the UK’s top boarding and day schools with three of her own currently studying at various top schools in the UK.
Currently based near London, she lived in Hong Kong for 15 years and can speak Cantonese. Marianne has successfully placed children into schools including Eton College, Westminster School and Rugby School.
