If you are considering boarding school for your child, there are a few options in and around Kuala Lumpur. Here is a brief overview of the four most popular choices: KTJ, Nexus International School, Epsom College & Marlborough College.
KTJ is a very well-established school offering IGCSEs and A Levels, about an hour south of the city. KTJ offers boarding from the age of 11 onwards, and is the most affordable boarding option on this list.

Nexus International School
Nexus is a well-established international school offering IGCSEs followed by the IB Diploma. It is located in Putrajaya, making it the only boarding school on this list to be located in KL itself. Nexus accepts boarders from Year 5 and above.

Like KTJ, Epsom offers IGCSE and A Levels, and is around an hour south of the city. It opened in September 2014 and accepts boarders from Year 7 onwards.

Marlborough College has both Junior & Senior boarding houses, and will accept boarding students as young as Year 5. It is much further from KL than the 3 other options listed above - at least a four hour drive. It is also the most expensive boarding option, by a considerable margin.
