We recently put together a post on the 2019 IB results from international schools in Malaysia, and promised we would follow up with one on A Levels. So, here we are!
We shall preface this blogpost by saying 3 things:
We are not fans of league tables or school rankings.
There is a huge amount more to schools than their students' examination results.
Statistics only tell part of the picture. They don't tell us:
How many students sat examinations (5, 25 or 125?);
How much progress is reflected in the results (Achieving a B if a child was targeted a D is incredible. Achieving an A* if they were targeted an A* isn't the same. You need value added data to help show the impact a school has had on its students.)
Whether it was a fully inclusive cohort - including children from mixed abilities and mixed academic backgrounds - or a more selective one;
How long the school has been offering A Levels (5 years or 50?)
And yet, we also know that many families are interested in examination results and statistics. So, for that reason, we have trawled the web and pulled together the May/June 2019 A Level results from KL international schools.
Schools vary in the way they report and share their results, so to keep things consistent we have focused only on the percentage of A/A* grades and the percentage of A*-C grades.
Here they are, arranged in alphabetical order, NOT ranked.
Please note: schools who follow the Jan-Dec academic year are not included in this list, as their students have not yet sat their final exams.
